Being a Gentleman
Give me a break!
Location: SB 55 - Temporary Quarters
Timeline: during sweep
Byrnes got led down the hall by Quinn, and when she finally stopped at her door, Shack's upbringing came to mind. "Cass, thank you for such a great time, but this is where we part ways. Have a good night, Steve."
"Just like that?" Cassandra asked, opening the door to her temporary quarters. "You walk away from all this...," she ran her hands along her figure, "..you may not get a second chance."
Having not moved to leave yet, Byrnes grinned. "The want is there, Cass, Believe me. Just making sure that both of us are honestly ready for anything further."
Cassandra grabbed Shack's collar and pulled him through the door, planting a passionate lip lock on him as the door slid shut behind them. She broke long enough to say, "you talk too much," and then she continued, while backing towards the bed, grateful that these quarters were smaller than her own.
Not one to argue with a beautiful lady, Shack returned the affections, and then some.
[1 hour later]
Cassandra rolled onto her back, her skin glistening from perspiration and breathing heavily.
Breathing like a long distance runner, his own sheen of sweat, Shack turned his head and looked over. "One day we'll have to make this a marathon," he chuckled and winked. Adjusting the pillow behind him to sit up with his torso, covers down and open for view, he reached out and brushed a lock of hair from her forehead since it was matted there due to sweat.
Cassandra rolled onto her side and propped herself up on her elbow. "I guess what they say about you Southern boys is true," she said with a teasing smirk.
Grinning, Shack gave another wink. "Which one? The fact that I will tag that ass like your ex is watching?" He laughed, leaning in to give her a kiss on the forehead, along her hairline. All he could reach in his current position.
Cassandra chuckled and shook her head. "No. Besides....I have no ex to be concerned about," she said. "I was referring to....," she got a sly look in her eyes. "....better yet....let me show you," and she pulled the sheet over both of their heads as she began to kiss his body.
[30 minutes later]
Spent, Cassandra took a deep breath as Shack rolled off of her. She needed a shower but the bathroom looked too far away and the muscles in her legs were too weak to walk so she used the edge of the sheet to wipe the perspiration from her face. Just then Shack's combadge, still pinned to his shirt....somewhere on the floor...tweeted.
=^=CDR Byrnes. Please report to the starbase brig.=^=
Byrnes exhaled and groaned. "Ughh, it figures." He sat up, then leaned over and kissed Cass. "Work calls, and it better not be a drunken brawl," he said, getting dressed while talking. "I will leave 'em to stew for a while, then jump their asses when back aboard. Extra duty I can provide."
Cassandra folded her arms behind her head as she watched him get dressed. "Shame to have to cover that up," she teased.
Shack half turned and smiled. "I feel the same way, believe me."
Cassandra watched him leave then slid down in the bed and pulled the sheet up. "Lights out," she said and closed her eyes. She drifted off with a satisfied smile on her face.
Leaving the cabin, his face all business with a fair touch of irritation, Byrnes pulled his PADD up and looked to why people were in the brig. Yep, he had guessed it. Drunken idiocy. So, as he went he noted to each department that had personnel being detained for such that he would bring their unruly individuals back to the ship. It was in all their favor, those being held, that images kept flashing in his mind of Cassie which helped to calm his anger.
